Discovered an amazing combination with Pukka (not pie) + Huel

Just going to drop this here. If anyone is struggling with the oaty smell of Huel and artificial taste of flavour packets - I have stumbled upon a really nice mix.

  • Pukka Organic Latte - Cacao Maca Magic (1-2 heaped tsp)
  • Instant Coffee (1 or 2 heaped tsp)
  • Honey (1 squirt)
= Delicious chocolatey shake with a nice caffeine boost
Chill in fridge for best experience

The Pukka Cacao Maca Magic is basically a mix of cocoa, coffee and some delicious spices like cardamom, ginger root powder, cinnamon. Ordinarily you’d mix it with hot milk and some honey to make a luxurious latte.

I tried it with Huel today and it’s the answer to all my problems. I no longer have to hold my breath while chugging the shake. You’d have to experiment with the amount of water and coffee / cocoa you want, however I find that adding the Pukka latte mix has also improved the texture of the shake to be smooth, chocolatey, glistening.

Here’s what it looks like. I got it from Sainsbury last week as it was on sale for £1 off the RRP.

Thought this was going to be Huel blended with a Pukka Pie. Disappointed.

Looks amazing! I’m on my way to the supermarket I’ll get some and report back

That looks properly lush! Definitely picking up a bag to try.

That sounds delicious - I’ve never seen it, but will look out for it now

@GTIPuG you go ahead and blend your Huel with a pie and let us know your verdict :joy::joy:
Although - I’ve seen some of your recipes :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I don’t trust your taste buds to make sensible recommendations !

£5 for 90g. I see Pukka also do ‘turmeric gold’ and ‘ginger joy’ lattes.

Yeah £5 was a bit steep I honestly can’t imagine myself ever buying something like that, BUT! Thanks to your recommendation @cwcwcw I am now the proud owner of a bag of

I almost hope it’s not as delicious as you make it sound when I try it at work tomorrow, not sure I can afford a new addiction!

Amazing! @RyanT How was it?

5 quid is a little steep but the way I look at it, the bag says it makes 15 cups, so actually you’d spend 33p per cup instead of the usual £2.95 from a cafe when the fancy mood strikes.

Plus! If you only use 1 tsp as opposed to the recommended 2 and mix it with instant coffee to huel, you can really stretch each serving out even more…

:rofl::sweat_smile:

Sorry no pie here but thank you to whoever that changed my title to clarify this :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Same here :see_no_evil: I put in 1.5 tsp and 1 tsp instant coffee and honey, but stuck with my usual base of 250ml coconut milk and 250ml water. I prepped it last night and will be trying it soon…

Says it contains ashwagandha which is supposed to help you sleep. Not if you add coffee though

For those not sure whether they want to sleep or not :stuck_out_tongue:

How many calories for all that plus Huel?

I dreaded adding it up, but according to MFP its 399… So not totally horrendous… It tasted interesting… Though I think next time I’d put in just one teaspoon of the Pukka stuff and see how I find that. I’m pleased to report I’m not feeling sleepy, or very awake

Hmmm think I might give it a miss then

So I had the pukka stuff on it’s own, like as a drink. Not sure if I’d choose it over tea or coffee but if I’m ever in the mood for fancy hot chocolate I suppose it’ll do the job. Didn’t get round to trying it in Huel yet, will do it tomorrow now. What flavour Huel did you have it with?

@Bee Going to give it another whirl tomorrow so will let you know! This time I’ve prepped it with 1 measured level tsp + 1.5 tsps instant coffee + 0.5 tsp honey. I seem to have gotten distracted and added 350ml coconut milk by accident (+ 250ml water), because I don’t think I’ve ever seen my flask that full…

@RyanT Did you make it with normal milk? Might try that at some point. I used original Huel (70ish g)

Yeah I made the drink with semi skimmed milk. So I tried the pukka thing with Vanilla this morning, very nice indeed. Chocolately with a hint of potpourri :joy: haha it’s nicer than it sounds. The real test though, can it un-mint the mint-chocolate flavour Huel? The answer is a resounding no. It somehow made it mintier? I like the mint chocolate but damn there’s just no changing that one.

Will try a Cacao Maca Magic with coffee Huel later/tomorrow, I hope that’s as good as the vanilla
