I’ve been eating a 70% huel diet for the last 3 weeks and I have noticed I have started to get dizzy when standing up recently. I don’t know if it’s the 1500kcal diet or the huel. But has anyone else had this or have have any advice?
That is normal, even without Huel.
Also could be because of a lack of sodium, so try adding a pinch or 2 of salt to Huel, I always do
Might be a good idea to check your blood pressure.
It’s not normal to get dizzy every time you stand up.
Even if you’re in a sensible calorie deficit you shouldn’t be getting faint and dizzy.
Maybe try increasing your calories to maintainence for a couple of days. If you are still getting dizzy I would see your GP for a check up.
Agree with @ChristinaT. Definitely get this checked out by your GP. Could be one of many reasons.
Thanks everyone, I’ll try adding salt to my huel and if it continues I’ll go to the doctor. Thanks for the advice
If everything is okay, its Lupus for sure, and its deadly in 2-3 weeks
Dizziness on standing is abnormal functioning. I would encourage you to make an appointment to see a practice nurse or GP. A low calorie intake may be a contributing factor but there may be other contributing factors.
Hey I’ve been getting dizziness while standing recently! I wonder if I’m not drinking enough water to keep up with the heatwave
That’s what i originally thought, by im drinking 1.5-2ltrs a day plus huel so probably well over 3 ltrs total.
Another thing to be careful of in heatwaves is significantly more time spent in the pub, have you noticed an increase in the rate of pints consumed per hour? I try to limit myself to 2pph in direct sunlight and no more than around 3.5pph indoors
pph is an awesome acronym, i will definitely use this
Sadly i wish i was spending more time in the pub.
I include the liquid I use in my Huel shakes along with other drinks (water, tea, coffee) in my daily intake total. Sometimes my intake is less than 2 litres yet I don’t feel dizzy when I stand up, even in this warm weather.
