Hi I’ve just got the black edition huel. But I was going to dunk on for breakfast and lunch then like chicken and vegetables for tea. My fitness pal says I can have 1570 calories. I do get fit with Rick on you tube trying to aim for 10000 steps a day. Is this going to work. I’ve read huel is not for weight loss I’m gutted as it just turned up this morning. I’ve not brought the vitamin green packet
Hey!
Sounds like you’ve got a good bundle here and a great place to start to form a weight loss diet.
So, a quick bit about Huel, it’s basically a complete meal in one, packed with all the protein, carbs, fats, vitamins, and minerals you need if you were eating around 2,000 calories a day. It’s not specifically made as a weight loss product, but it can definitely be a handy tool if that’s one of your goals.
When it comes to losing weight, the main thing is being in a calorie deficit, basically burning more than you’re eating. A good starting point is usually around 250 to 500 calories less per day, which is generally seen as healthy. You can use a calorie calculator to figure out roughly how much you should be aiming for. The NHS has a good one but I use NutriCheck personally. Just a Scan, and usually it populates all the deets for me.
Just keep in mind it’s an estimate, so you might need to tweak things as you go.
The big thing is not to cut your calories too low, you still want to fuel your body properly. And remember, your weight can be affected by loads of other factors too: genetics, sleep, hormones (like during your cycle or menopause), digestion, illness, or even certain medications. All of that plays a role, so try not to get discouraged if the number on the scale doesn’t always move how you expect.
