Hot and Savoury opinions and feedback

and it is available via the original hidden link Julian provided in the original post.

I suppose that will all be to do with the ā€˜scoopingā€™ method. I get the scoop right in and I overfill it and then level it off against the bag, packing it a little as I press down on it slightly. I find that each time Iā€™m getting 47.2g per scoop. I gave up trying to perfect the .2g

This is hilarious. Iā€™m a mum and I loved the tomato one. Maybe Iā€™m in the ā€œmy mumā€ demographic ha ha ha

Would definitely agree. Tomato and herb is very meh, Iā€™ll need to figure something out there, but TGC is lovely. Was a bit worried itā€™d taste of soap after reading comments about corriander but itā€™s actually quite lovely.

Yeah, thatā€™ll be it. I also get the scoop right in and overfill it, but then I shake from side to side so itā€™s level.

All my mums love tomato and hate spice.

Thatā€™s right. The link is in this post

Weā€™ve checked out your email address, and thereā€™s definitely something strange happening with which emails you receive. Youā€™re opted in for marketing but seem to only be receiving transactional emails, so weā€™re looking into this. Really sorry for the inconvenience of not receiving the right emails, weā€™re on it.

@David thanks for the great selection of tips. I like your thought on stirring not shaking the pouch. I do shake mine but donā€™t do it every time, just initially.

no worries, hot and savory already out by now

I love the Hot & Savoury but wonā€™t be able to use as planned.

I have 4* 500 cal meals a day - was previously 2 powdered Huel, I planned to swap one of them for the Hot & Savoury but after a few days realised I canā€™t.

The powdered is such a beige basic b***ch that I can have it every day to fill me up and forget the event, but the Hot & Savoury is too flavoursome to do that. I love Thai Green Curry (real one) but wouldnt have it every day - the Hot & Savoury same thing.

I donā€™t regret buying and it will be great for when I need a change - but no good for my daily meal plan I will stick to mainly 2 * powdered 500 cal and 2 * 500 cal meals.

Yes, Huel white, black and RTD means one can mix it and drink it quickly. The brewing time of 5mins for HS and the time taken for it to cool makes it more feasible on a planned break. I plan to use this for 2 shifts and 1 off day. Usually on off days I have only Huel for breakfast but realised a HS and a sandwich can support my fitness goals.

So Iā€™ve just had the first of my Herb & Tomato, I wasnā€™t expecting much but was surprised. I would like some spice to it but that is easy enough to resolve with some chilli (Iā€™m thinking some hot chipotles) What also got me was just how thick this one was compared to the Thai Green Curry! I like that, less soup like and more well like a thick sauce. Roll on my next meal

Regarding the Tomato and Herb, I have tried Tobaso, chipolte and tomato ketchup (not simultaneously) but these also add more variety to the product.

After reading this I decided to weigh out my scoops today, exactly 10g under, which I think means a calorie count of 357. Works for me as Iā€™m trying to loose weight!

Yeah I had the same experience as you. Tomato was thicker than TGC with the same amount of water. Also added some chilli because tomato and herb was not really spicy. However TGC set me on fire!!! Not sure how I can spice that one down a little.

I was thinking of mixing the two but I have yet to find the courage to try it :see_no_evil:

the same way you do with any Thai Curry - chuck in some coconut milk/cream

With Thai curry you can also add acidity to dilute the spice - lemon juice or even vinegar helps.

Right! Brilliant as always Phil!

That was going to be my plan for tomorrow. Iā€™ll let you know how it goes.

What I have noticed about the Herb & Tomato today is that I get a slight curry smell when it is sat on the table. Even my other half has just asked me if I was having a curry soup!

Cool! Iā€™m very curious how thatā€™s going to work out

The tomato and herb is great with diced beetroot and halved cherry tomatos on the top. If anyone is interested.

I noticed this. I took an open pouch in my backpack and my bag had a curry like odour to it. (This has now dissipated).
