I have ordered (and generally like the flavours of!) Huel Hot & Savoury, but find that I struggle to get a consistent portion in terms of experience: some will be very heavy on powder, some heavy on bulk solids. Are there any plans specifically for H&S (I know it doesn’t make sense for powder-only products) to introduce a two-scoop sachet or similar to prevent this? Or any reliable tips for getting a more consistent portion? (Shaking the bag between portions doesn’t seem to help much!)
I can’t guarantee this will work for you, but what I tend to do is shake the bag just a little, open it and lie it on its side a little so I get a long side on view of the various layers of powder, lumps etc, then run the scoop through an area that looks like it will give me a reasonable balance of the various parts of the mix. Just shaking the bag didn’t seem to do it for me, so I started doing this and I think I get more consistent results, but its not 100% fool proof, but might be worth a try. Hope it helps you
After the shake be sure to get a full scoop from the whole of pouch. Shaking every time will lead to it all separating into layers, but as long as you take a slice of all those layers you’ll get an even mix. It won’t be identical every time but it will be better
We don’t have plans for this, no, sorry about that Thomas.
I decant mine into a plastic tub (for ease of storing) and stir it up with a spoon
I don’t shake the bag much. I turn it up side down and back again a few times.
Turning the bag on its side and shaking side to side a few times works too. Do both sides.
I give the bag a good shake - sometimes forget my scoop is in there and have to go digging for it
I would agree with you, it isn’t easy to get it just right. Normally it is either too thick, or too thin.
When I get my next order, I may split out the solids from the powder, then add them individually to the pot in the same proportions as provided
