New Black Edition Flavour and Unflavoured! ☕

its quite a popular combo in coffee houses and some of the less bitter coffee varieties already have a sort of caramel aroma too them so its a good complimentary mix. maybe the decision was lead by the popularity of the bar flavour too?

I’m a coffee purist so anything that masks the taste of coffee is something I dislike. I have sampled for many years what I refer to as liberal coffee combos in various cafe and coffee shops but dislked all that I tried.

I’m generally the same and usually avoid at all costs however there is a local coffee shop I go to that avoids the usual commercial syrup flavourings and does a macadamia flavoured coffee - its a very light taste they add and its very nice.

I’m a coffee purist too, there’s nothing like a big mug of Camp coffee to kickstart my day.

Has anyone here already tried one of the new flavours? Did you like it?

Just trying my first BE coffee caramel and absolutely love it! This is my absolute favourite, top of the list flavour now.
I have to be honest, didn’t like BE chocolate flavour at all and the vanilla is meh as far as my taste buds are concerned so I’m over the moon with this one. It’s very reminiscent of the old mocha flavour boost, which I also loved, so I am one very happy Hueligan :yum: :+1:

@bee Which Huel do you normally use? White or Black?

Why do you use it? Can you tell any difference in how do you absorb white vs black?

I used to use v2.3 until stocks ran out. Tried v3.0 which didn’t agree with me as well so went with Black which has been fine so far. I had to stop using some of the flavour boosts as they had started to upset the status quo, also had to stop buying bars for same reason. It’s a real pain at times…lol literally

Did you feel any difference in energy levels, concentration o anything when ditching White for Black?

I would love to say yes but, no, my energy levels/concentration have not changed at all. In my case it’s simply a case of what my guts will tolerate. IBS is a real pest at times and can be different from one person to another. I am actually thinking of adding another bag of v3.0 to a sub and trying it again at some stage.

Did you feel more satiated with black or reaching cetosis easier? (If you ever tried keto or similar)

I don’t do keto and as far as satiation is concerned, both seem equally good to me.

I feel like Black Edition should be taken in the evenings, nutritionists say that proteins are better consumed before sleeping so they can “work their magic”, repairing tissues, growing new enzymes, hormones etc. during the night, while during the day carbs are suggested for energy (and you don’t need lots of it before bed).

That’s why I’m confused about the decision to add caffeine into Black Edition. I wouldn’t drink coffee in the evening, when would I sleep?

Sorry if the topic is a bit off.

I dont think that is off topic, its related.

Interesting

Just don’t buy coffee flavour then? :joy::sob:

I think all the Black editions have caffeine

the green tea extract in black edition introduces very small trace amounts - less than half what can be legally classified as decaffeinated.

Can’t see it anywhere at all on my bags. Closest I can get is green tea extract. No caffeine anywhere, no caffeine warning either.

below certain levels - it doesn’t have to be included on the labelling as the trace amount is so small.

Yeah - So negligible pretty much? It hasn’t been artificially caffeinated outside of coffee Black was my point.
