I really love Huel black vanilla with the Gingerbread flavour boost, or the Huel black in coffee caramel flavour, with a little extra salted caramel flavour boost, and a little extra instant coffee. I’m not a fan of subtle flavours. So those are my two personal favourites, but I like all the flavour boosts except the fruit flavoured ones, strawberry, banana I just wouldn’t go near, only exception is the apple pie or apple and cinnamon, I forget exactly what it’s called. I have that sometimes and enjoy it for variety, but wouldn’t want it more often than a couple of times a week.

3rd Huel of the new year!
I tried Huel black vanilla today, I can see it being a good base for the flavours (I’ll probably buy some of the ones recommended, thanks @Wendy_Shepherd !) but I definitely preferred chocolate.
Good luck with step 4. When I did my steps, I found step 4 was very revealing and I learnt so much about myself and my perception of things (people) from there.

4th Huel of the new year! Part of me was tempted to ditch the Huel in favour of 400kcal of snacks to munch on while working instead (as I have many impending deadlines), but yknow what? As boring as this journal log may be (sorry guys), I guess people say “consistency is key”?
This year, no grand New Year New Me. It’s going to be New Moment New Me; New Year No-ditching-healthy-habits-I’m-trying-to-build-up Me

Dang, I was all set to skip my Huel today in favour of the habitual endless snacking…but then I woke up to Tim saying they’re still not sick of my Huel posts, so I guess it’s time for the 5th Huel of 2022 then! 
Again, Huel Black chocolate never fails to amaze me with how tasty it is.

7 days of Huel! Starting 2022 right indeed 
I wanted to skip Huel again since I binged last night and was like “hmm maybe I should just skip a meal or something so I’m ingesting fewer calories” bUt that usually just ends up in a binge anyway…
So I picked up the phone, did an “Outreach Call”, processed my emotions healthily, got my head on straight, and decided to get my nutrients in regardless.

Missed a day but we back on Huel! I’m glad because I felt like my body needed nutrients and decided to give it this. With intentionality. I know it seems small but when I’m constantly head first in the sugary fatty junk…this to me is self care.

Had classes today so was in a bit of rush, bless Huel for being so portable and quick to prep and chug down. Gets the job done!

Missed yesterday because I was burying my face in the food again 
Last night, I came to the realisation that I think I need to give giving up sugar a try…that’s what all my binges comprise of anyway. As much as I hate to admit it because I’m kind of scared I can’t manage life without soothing myself with food and sugar…I’ve got to give it a go. I’m not managing life well with the sugar anyway nor am I productive when constantly snacking, what do I have to lose?
Bless Huel for not having sugar LOL, perhaps it’ll curb sugar cravings too? Does anyone know more about this?
& I’m curious, have any of you given up sugar before?
Today’s Huel was the Vanilla BE with 4g Mint Choc flavour. Was aight, but I’m missing my beloved Chocolate BE. Might try baking with Vanilla BE instead to use it up.
- I was surprised at how much staying power Huel has. Ate this, and genuinely wasn’t hungry for the next 4h and got so much done!!! I ate because it was getting late and I thought I should get some nutrients in haha.
Had some Huel H&S mac and cheese with extra brussel sprouts veg & ham/chicken!! Probably defeats the purpose of it being vegan, but I rescued the meat from being thrown away by a supermarket as it was going out of date so I suppose that helps with the waste 
Really not wanting to be trespassing, just talking about my own experience when it goes about sugar-craving. For me it was/is always related to alcohol. As long as I manage to stay away from alcohol sugar is no issue. But as soon as I had a glass or two of wine …. I could binge on everything sugary….desperately… ! Maybe it’s not alcohol for you that triggers that craving but something else. That’s what I find so interesting when it’s about food: it’s all connected in some way. For me it works best when I stay away from alcohol, sugar and very salty stuff because they trigger each other. Better eat another Huel bar or an orange or a bowl of salad…. or just drink a glass of water and wait a few minutes or start watching a movie…. or brush your teeth
. It’s not easy I know because the relationship to our body and our sense of hunger are somehow messed up. Be patient with yourself, don’t blame yourself. Just try to find out for yourself - baby step by baby step - what works for you.
Brushing your teeth is a good idea, sometimes I find a quick sloosh of mouthwash is enough to straighten things out when a craving kicks in (where it’s not wanted!).

Brought some Huel to class in a flask today along with some soup and chicken! I like this Huel thing, but I must say it’s an odd one to bring for lunches with friends
H&S would probably be a better one for that social-eating purpose…

Yeah I think it will definitely provoke fewer questions. Perhaps on a day when you have the mental energy to field their questions you might have just Huel powder ![]()

Vanilla BE Huel tastes so much better with the salted caramel flavour powder! I actually really enjoyed this one.

Baked some pretty yummy and surprisingly nutritious sugar-free flour-free fudgy Huel brownies! Who knew brownies could be nutritious?
177kcal and 19.3g protein for all of it 
Imma look for more ways and recipes to use up that vanilla Huel so I can move onto my beloved chocolate… 
Alcohol does lower your blood sugar. That’s why you get shaky and crave stodgy sugary things when you’ve been drinking.
