Caramel Huel awww yessss. I’d usually never drink my calories (I mean, 400kcal for a drink is a lot…) but thankfully it genuinely feels so nutritious. And from previous memories, I know it has many hours of “staying power” in terms of not being so preoccupied with food after. Wonder if it’s just my brain playing tricks on me and influenced by Huel’s marketing

Are you using the Huel powder as the flour element of the Brownie recipe?

@JulesSK Yes! I used this recipe I found here but substituted the flour for Huel (since I figured Huel is part oats anyway :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:) and it turned out surprisingly well!

Mint Huel Vanilla BE today

Made some salted caramel “blondies” using Vanilla Huel BE and salted caramel flavour system, turned out surprisingly well again. Will be a good portable snack to take to class tomorrow (although I ate half already oops).
159 calories, 21.9g protein for all of it

Had to leave at 9am for classes, always amazes me how convenient it is to just chuck a Huel in my bag and be able to focus on writing up an assignment after classes instead of having to go out to buy food. Could discreetly drink my Huel in the no-food spaces too

I’m going out to dinner and a musical with friends today so my plan is to have 600kcal of Huel before that and then a larger dinner since I have no idea where we’re planning to eat. Part of me was wondering if it’d be better to skip meals or skimp on them before, but I’m hoping having Huel would help me make better food choices for dinner and not be starving while making those decisions. Fingers crossed!

Another salted caramel Huel! And a super productive day, I think Huel has been pretty transformative for my productivity  It’s like a race car getting fuelled up and zooming off vs stopping at the gas station and getting stuck for an hour

New day new Huel! Tried using gingerbread flavour boosts today, not bad.

Something I noticed quite prominently (I’m trying to learn to practice mindful eating) is the feeling of “cleanliness” while eating Huel. I know it sounds odd, but yknow the feeling of being greasy and stodgy after eating a drippy greasy burger or stodgy and antsy after eating a crap ton of sugar? It feels the opposite for Huel, knowing it’s good for me and the light cold refreshing yet earthy oaty taste. I’m not sure if it’s just placebo. Anyone else experienced that too?

I’m with you on the ‘cleanliness’ thing ooboo, it’s a mindset which is useful I think. Maybe it’s a feeling of being in control too.

Your brownies and blondies look great!

Huel…are we surprised here?

One thing I noticed though is that there are Huel powder bits stuck to the inside of my thermos flask…any tips to get it out? Very not keen for it to start smelling awful :laughing:

@epicure Awesome that’s cool to hear! Aww thank you, I’m keen to start experimenting and baking more with it, the possibilities are endless!
I wonder if anyone has some good Huel recipes on here…

Aw you’re most welcome Tim, heck yes brownie love! :raised_hands: Let me know if you ever have them a go too (or are you 100% vegan?) & Yes brownies and cakes are my downfall, so it’s kind of nice being able to eat Huel brownies

Salted caramel Vanilla BE Huel today!

Back onto Salted Caramel WE. Is it just me or is WE thicker with a more substantial mouthfeel?

The first thing that came to mind when drinking this was “Wow, what a blessing I get to eat this”, I’ve forgotten how tasty it is and how much I enjoy it. Also, added 3 sweetener tablets bc I felt like I had to for Vanilla BE but it was too sweet here oops. Might do 1 or 0 next time.

I’m not vegan. I would say that 50% of my meals are vegan though with Huel!

I didn’t realise you added sweetener to your Huel. Wow your Salted Caramel must have been sweeeeeeet! Definitely less needed next time!

New day new Salted Caramel Huel! I find that after my Huel I always want to eat something else…not sure if because it isn’t satiating or because I’m greedy??:see_no_evil:

Perhaps chewing has something to do with the experience and satiation? Idk

Haven’t had Huel for a while and have been feeling strangely untethered without structure in my life :stuck_out_tongue: So I guess we gon have some Huel!

Thought of the day as I ate my Huel: There is safety in routine.
Safety’s been what I’ve been seeking in life, albeit erroneously through sugar and fatty foods and dysfunctional relationships. Aside from Overeaters Anonymous, I’ve now found that there’s even “CoDependents Anonymous”! Wild :exploding_head: I know that’ll be part of my journey along the way, but for now I’m working towards getting a good structure foodwise, Huel in tow.

Feeling blessed for this yummy nutritious salted caramel Huel for today!
