b - Huel BE
l - Huel BE
d - porridge (oats, mixed seeds, roasted peanuts, chilli sauce)
Oh no, that’s sad, it’s as much your kitchen as theirs. Great you have Huel, but still, be nice to feel welcome in the kitchen!
B - 500kcal Huel Black Edition - Banana open at the moment
L - 500kcal Hot & Savoury - Madras open at the moment
Snack - Protein shake plus fruit, maybe some crisps if I have them. If I’m really hungry it would be another whole Huel
D - could be anything, loving noodle veg stir fries right now
My typical food intake for the day is;
Breakfast Huel BE
Lunch some sort of bulk meal prep meal (soup, vege curry etc) I usually like to add seeds, quinoa or some grain to bulk these up
Afternoon Sanck Huel BE
Early dinner, Huel H&S
Late dinner - this is undecided. I’ll flopping between and few idea for this one. I’ve bought some Muelsi and will maybe have a bowl of Muesli/Granola to keep the night time hunger away
I’ve also decided to add more salads into my life so I’m going to be slotting those in somewhere, maybe replacing the H&S or having the H&S mid afternoon and replacing the second BE
Of course, on some days I’ll have something else. This week I have planned a quiche (kind of a treat) and for another day an omelet. Those days I’ll usually replace the H&S
I could also have a stir fry, some curry (usually a take away from mum and dad)
So interesting to hear everyone’s Huel & non-Huel food routines, thanks!

Not feeling the best today and really didn’t feel like making a proper meal…so thank goodness for Huel. Yes, this is indeed a mental-health-meal-struggles Huel appreciation post.

Really didn’t feel like cooking so here’s some Huel mac and cheese bulked up with salad!
Looks good!
Just one question: If you write about your breakfast, lunch and dinner - do you snack in between, at least sometimes? Most people don’t count that.
@mbs I snack all the time, that’s part of my problem

Hello I’m back! Anyone missed me? Jk. Had a stressful work presentation in the afternoon today, so I wanted something quick and easy and nutritious with little prep and didn’t make me bloated in my work clothes
Bless Huel for times like this! Had staying power for ~4h and I didn’t even feel the urge to grab cake and cookies and chips that were provided. Time for a snack.
Hope the presentation went well? Still haven’t tried your new Huel shaker?!
@Tim_Huel Haha oops you noticed! I guess I’m a creature of habit; an object in motion stays in motion…Same goes with my Huel hoodie and T-shirt that I’ve been decked out in for literally the last year And thanks, the presentation wasn’t too bad at all!

Salted Caramel Huel leggo! So so tasty and wholesome. I realised that one thing I tend to do is overcomplicate meals, so much so that even when trying to figure out how to make the “best bowl of oats” for breakfast I got overwhelmed and paralysed
Bless Huel for times like this to help beat the decision paralysis + cut down the steps needed to get to a nutritious balanced meal!
Trying to get back on track with proper meals after being a bit thrown off my routine when I went overseas with friends now.

I’m baaaaack!
So it’s been a trip and a half the last couple of months trying to figure out how to feed myself right—not too much, not too little, the appropriate amount of nutrients…Damn this is actually so much harder than just crash dieting and “trying to eat as few calories as possible/fast”, who woulda thought.
As a quick summary:
- I’ve still been struggling a lot with overeating, bingeing, grazing and eating crap tons of sugar
- So I’ve now seen a registered dietitian to finally get professional input on my body’s specific needs instead of random internet advice (it gets confusing sometimes, everything seems to be cancerous lol)
- I’ve started trying to cook and meal prep & follow all her advice but honestly how on earth do people cook everything from scratch all the time? I put in my best effort, but with co-occurring illnesses it got overwhelming and I found myself back into the comfort eating to deal with that stress of meal prepping
d’Oh!
And so I remembered my random Huel bags, and decided I’m gonna have Huel everyday for the next 22 days to start my day again, it definitely was a nice anchor in the past. I now see the appeal of Huel as convenient food that’s actually nutritious when meal prepping gets too overwhelming.
I’m not too sure how exactly to incorporate Huel into the food plan my dietitian’s given me though—is it compatible? She also gave me portions of veg, protein, starch, fruits, fat to hit but Huel is (obviously) not on the list…Any ideas?
Anyways, I’m gonna drop my Huel meal prep for now! I love that it took all of 3 seconds. And I mean, I even used tupperwares, so it totally counts as meal prep, right?
Well done for popping back. I struggle with food at times too. With my current lifestyle (new baby) sometimes it feels that food is my only pleasure in life.
I’m not sure how to talk about Huel fitting in with your meal plan without knowing more about what your dietician has fiven you. However, on a general note, I think it could be kept simple as in one Huel meal is just that a Huel meal. Can you scratch off a meal from the dieticians pov?
Meal prep is a right pain I know. For me it helps to make big, and I mean really big batches. And then eat the same thing every day or freeze some and rotate frozen foods in every day. the meal prep meals are usually full of the things I need so lots of veg and proteins and a little bit of fat. Curries and sous lend very well to that. So for example, I’ll cook about 4 meals worth on Sunday and soak 4 days worth of oats. M-Thurs I have a soaked oats (with chai seeds, blueberries, flaxseeds etc) for breakfast, Huel for lunch and the meal I prepared earlier for dinner. That leaves Friday to cook again or have a frozen thing I saved from before.
What I find difficult is still wanting to binge at night, I think that’s the hardest part for me. It helps not having any snacks (that are mine) in the house and It can still be very difficult not to dip into my sons stash

Day 2/21 Huel lunch let’s go! I admit I’ve missed Huel a little. And yes I have now gotten the new shaker I have yet to use it though, it scares me for some reason LOL
Stick whit that shaker, it works, doesn’t it?
Thanks for your reply, your meal prep schedule really helps! The plan is broadly
- 12oz vegetables
- 1-2 servings fruit
- 3-4 servings protein
- 3 servings fat
- 2 servings starches
+multivitamin, vitamin B, vitamin C, magnesium, L-tryptophan
I’m not sure what Huel would count as under the different food groups…

Day 4/21
I felt strangely happy drinking this Huel shake. It just tastes like a nutritious milkshake, and it’s very nice knowing how satiating and nutritious it is, yet so convenient.
Another to round off the day!
