Say hello to 2 new flavours of Daily A-Z Vitamins!

I was hoping to try one today but DPD has tried to deliver the parcel to an address I don’t even recognise. Checked the order just in case of any postcode typo and all the details are correct.

Woop woop

Not ideal! Have you spoken to CX? team@huel.com

Nah. I went to DPD direct. They will try again tomorrow. Despite what3words and a photo of the building on my account, the driver went somewhere I don’t even recognise.

Given that you look like a seagull, I’m not sure a picture of your home would be particularly useful to DPD.

Being DPD nothing seems to be particularly helpful to help them find quite a difficult to miss building

DPD = Don’t Properly Deliver.

My current DPD driver doesn’t knock, ever, just drops it in front of the front door and leaves. I’m sure “management” must be know when every parcel he delivers is “left in the safe place”. No f’s given basically.

I noticed last time I was in the UK, on the delivery tracker page when it was on its way, there was a sentence on there saying something like your ‘delivery will be left on your doorstep’ whereas previously they insisted on taking a photo of it with you as proof of delivery (if you hadn’t selected a safe drop place for it) – seemed a little odd.

My delivery drivers always take a photo…normally of the parcel and my sexy legs. Today of a random building.

Added two cans to test on my next order :grinning:

I’m curious about the “natural caffeine” point - what does that mean, and what would be the difference if it was “non-natural”?
(resisting the urge to ask about “organic caffeine”… for now)

Natural caffeine comes directly from food sources, synthetic caffeine is produced in a lab. It’s much more commonly used than natural as extracting caffeine from natural sources is more expensive - so natural caffeine is rarely added to foods that don’t already contain it. Synthetic is also what’s used in pain relievers and cosmetics - so if you see caffeine on a food, beverage or cosmetic product – its most likely synthetic.

Thank you, but is there a difference between natural and synthetic caffeine anyway?
I understand that natural flavors might taste better than synthetic, but that doesn’t apply here, so…

Consumer surveys generally show that around 70% of participants think caffeine has a different effect on the body depending on the source - or were unsure. In reality, synthetic and natural caffeine are virtually indistinguishable and are chemically identical, with the same stimulating effects on the body.

Aha, thank you. Interesting.
I was just like “naturalistic fallacy? in my Huel?”

Well the ingredients say they are getting their natural caffeine from coffee beans, because I guess it fits in with the whole product ethos and vegan status.

Vegan consumers would probably be less accepting of synthetic if they knew it was made from urea and methyl chloride but seem less concerned about putting it on their body than in it though – it’s a funny old world

The pineapple one is delicious in my opinion. Even tastier than cherry one and that one is great. Both a little sweeter than I’d like but does taste very pineappley.

Not tried the watermelon one yet but I don’t expect it to be as good. If it is…

Sounds promising

I look forward to trying the new flavours next time I order, but +1 for non-caffeinated option, I like being able to drink a fizzy drink at any time of day/evening without worrying about what the caffeine may do to my sleep.

Ok just drunk a watermelon one and in my opinion it is (against my expectations) my favourite A-Z so far. Not that it tastes really strongly of watermelon. For sure it does taste of it, but it has more of a taste of sherbet lemons with a feint hint of strawberry. It also doesn’t have watermelon listed on the ingredients.

Again it is sweet but I like it
