The biggest and best Huel launch ever... Huel Hot & Savoury

There is a risk, which I was hesitant about, but do note, that these are 7-portion bags, not 14/17 one might be used to. So you commit to eating 21 portion instead of 34, current minimal order on normal Huel.

So right now we do not have enough stock of Pots to fulfil all our orders with them, the way we’re managing this situation is to get all our available pots to our UK and USA fulfilment centres. That means at the moment orders to the rest of world aren’t receiving pots but UK/USA are. Supply has been tricky to say the least due to COVID-19, we fully anticipated launching with Pots in all regions but unfortunately couldn’t.

Once we can, we’ll get the Pots on sites in all regions.

The reason you would have received this email is potentially because you’re signed up to the UK or USA mailing list (if you perhaps toggled on one of those sites), or were sent the email in error but it’s unlikely (if so I apologise). This section was only on the UK and USA emails.

Again, sorry for the lack of pots, but we’re working on getting them out, however it may not be until next year they’re available in all regions.

I am indeed enjoying eating it from a bowl, and it’s good. But jealous of all of the people posting about their experience with the branded cups, who ordered at the same time as me, I guess. Hopefully mine will get there at some point and the delay is not drastic.

Potentially useful insight for those, who haven’t tried it yet: mine came with all of the grains at the bottom and “flavour” powder on top (although I shook the bag before opening). Not giving it much though I took 2 scoops of what was on top and added water.
As I only realised in retrospect, I’d probably eaten most of the flavouring meant for the entire bag. It was intense and didn’t dissolve well. :see_no_evil:
Don’t make the same mistake: apart from shaking mix thoroughly with the scoop (takes some time) and aim for lightly dusted grains in your bowl, rather than just the powder.

Maybe I did subscribe to the emails from the US site and not from Europe but that is quite hard to distinguish from the email itself as there are no indicators of the market the email is meant for. No $. € or £ or any other hint of the market.

I have also previously complained that it definitely seems like EU is a secondary market to you (regarding chocolate RTD arriving about a year late to EU market) and this does verify my suspicion even though what you say

Thanks, but I am aware that these are 7 portion bags. It still doesn’t make sense to place an additional order for three bags of something I might not like when if I can convince myself to be patient I can just order one bag of each flavour to try as an add on to my regular order in two months time. That way if I don’t like it I don’t have the hassle of shipping one unopened bag back for a refund. No wasted food, no additional shipping waste, Huel don’t have to do whatever they do with returns post COVID, it’s a win all round.

Basically it’s more friendly from an environmental perspective for me to develop some life skills and learn to be patient. I’m (allegedly) an adult, I can do this…

Mate DM me your address and I’ll send you a pot

Lack of a pot is not as big a deal as you might imagine @Nwolc, though I do realise you will still want one. I used the pot the first time but opted for a large cappuccino cup for the second (covered with the saucer) and it worked fine.

It is not that big of a deal when at home and I have been using normal bowls to make mine. Working remotely anyway for over 90% of the time so not a hassle. However the pot would be absolutely useful for the days I cannot work from home or when I have to travel.

I have a couple of small food thermos flasks which I use to incubate yogurt. They would be ideal for you when travelling. Might try one next time I make my H&S. No worries about heat coming through sides of pot either.

I used the pot initially but now I use my large Sports Direct mug (£1.50) in sports direct, or Pot Noodle mug. At work I plan to use my Chillys insualted food flask. I was worried I would drop it tip over the pot.

I have just received my Savory Huel order, but sadly there was no cup included. Is it possible to send it separately?

@akolsek see Tim’s post above. Here’s a link if you can’t find it.

it works well in a mug!

I’m so happy. I’m on call and tired, and usually eat terribly when I want something savoury, I’ve had two nutritious hot meals with the easiest prep and minimal washing up :raised_hands:

Don’t shake the bag. That’s what caused the separation in the first place, in the delivery van.

Stir it up!

A nutritional/practical question: in line with my hypothesis I have now erm… experimentally (great typo potential) determined that the seeds in H&S do not really get digested unless you crush them in your mouth, which I found challenging as they “escape” the teeth in a flow of the soup mass. Do I miss out much on the nutritional/calorie side?
I have noticed that in contrast to normal Huel this takes me annoyingly long to eat if I want to chew things well (like whole 10+ minutes), but I guess this is normal soup timing and I am just spoiled with regular Huel.

The short answer is no. No need to worry

another potless customer.
will I get a pot automatically with my next order at a later time even though I bought H&S already?
