Hi all. First off I am a 20 year old male, 5ft 8 and weigh a stupid amount of 20.3 stone! Have been told I don’t look as big as I am but the scales don’t lie
I was always a chubby kid but when I was 11, my nan and dad died 20 days apart from eachother and I turned to eating and over the last 9 years my weight has ballooned. I have been to doctors for help but I just can’t stick to the diets, I was going to the gym 3 days a week for a few months but couldn’t stick to any of it plus I am stupidly self conscious so that didn’t help me with sticking to it
I came across huel on a facebook and have decided to give it a try to aid me in my weight loss journey. I don’t eat huge amounts but what I do eat is all the wrong things…I work in a supermarket so temptations are all around me day in day out.
I got my sample packets today and I have to say that I am impressed! As soon as they arrived I made up one of packets, took one sip and HATED the taste but I added some coffee granuals and seriously enjoyed it. I felt FULL after finishing it and didn’t even have any cravings for food until around 5pm so I made up the second packet and drunk it over about an hour. Got slightly hungry again about 7 but not surpised with only 800 cals lol so I had a chicken breast with some brown rice as I only had 2 samples.
I don’t get paid until the 17th so can’t order the regular packets until then but i’m excited that I might have just stumbled across something that could actually help me!
My plan is to drink huel twice a day and then have a meal in the evenings. Aiming for around 2300 cals. I aim to lose around 5 stone at the moment. In my mind if I set smaller targets and then set new ones once i’ve reached them, it won’t feel like so much of a big task and I will be more likely to stick to it.
