Unable to alter subscription -solved

I’ve never tried using skip, but if that’s really how it works then it does seem incredibly perverse.

I’m not really sure if it does actually skip the one after next, all I know is that it definitely doesn’t skip the upcoming delivery unless you also change the dispatch date. It’s not very obvious that you have to change the dispatch date yourself however, as it indicates that you’ve successfully skipped, so you just assume that it’s done that for you.

If I use skip I expect it to skip my next delivery. This by default will change my next dispatch date so it now becomes the order after the one I just skipped. No other changes should be made.

If I change the frequency it should change the dispatch date of future orders but not the next one. Obviously you need a point in time to be able to calculate new dates from so logically this should be the next delivery date. If you also want to push the next delivery back you can change the dispatch date of that and future orders will adjust in accordance to the new frequency.

Unless you use the original date of the subscription to calculate from in which case you could change all order dates based on the new frequency.

Perhaps the skip function just serves to complicate matters. For myself, I will continue to ignore it and use edit to tweak stuff around to my heart’s content. Ability to tweak = POWER :sunglasses:

As its possible to change the dispatch date, a skip button would be useless. Changing the frequency does not have to change the next dispatch date, but only the dates after that the first next delivery.

Basically what @coup just said.

I think we’re on the same page here. This is exactly what it did for me when I hit skip, perhaps just didn’t articulate it that well. I can also adjust Dispatch Frequency and Dispatch Date to override the ‘Skip’. Skip is just there as a quick solution if you don’t want your next order but keeps the frequency the same.

I.e.

  • First order - 18th March 2019 (Subscription default 4 weeks)
  • 2nd order - Due 15th April
  • *** Skip ***
  • 2nd order now due on 13th May (4 weeks after 15th April)

Sounds about right. It wasn’t doing that yesterday tho… for all three of us that were trying. The skip button didn’t change the date for the next delivery at all - the only way we could do that was by altering the dispatch date, which kinda made the skip button a bit pointless.
I’m not sure why it didn’t work for us but did work for you.
Personally I prefer to have single orders not subscriptions, as I like to order only when I’m running out as my usage (and preference of products and flavours) is very variable.

@ChristinaT you can still do that by pushing your subscription delivery way back until you’re ready to reorder.

I was doing that @Bee
Until the website changed and then I couldn’t alter anything for a while - the only thing I could do was cancel. It all seems to be working (mostly) now, so I’ll set my subscription back up the next time I need to order

I’m in the UK in Hove have tried Chrome and Puffin on mobile and Chrome and Internet Explorer on desktop. I’m following the steps through manage subscription, edit, scroll, cancel subscription and the progress wheel just shows. Last time I tried it I left it working on my desk top while I went for a shower, came back 25 minutes later and it still hadn’t updated.

And when I try to edit and update the subscription it gives me the error message ‘invalid flavours’, so I can’t even postpone it.

I’m having exactly the same issues, emailed Team Huel 3 days ago (58802).

Wondering if there’s a glitch stopping me from amending my order? I’ve clicked cancel, skip, amend etc… It just cycles the loading circle.

I’ve started a new sub and been able to cancel that one. So I wonder why this issue is occurring in new store, but I can rest assured its not just me!

Sorry to hassle, but have you managed to sort a solution for this @Tim_Huel, @Olivia_Huel? I just want to add more Huel!

@Pott55 you will have to wait till Monday mate, they don’t work weekends or pop in here. Sometimes James Collier drops in here on weekends.

Ah yes, happy to wait! Fingers crossed for a solution.

Seems like this may be solved. Thanks guys.
