The number one cause of injury of southern Swedish postman is catching their todgers in snapping flaps (the letterbox variety).
Seriously though @Squizzle I feel bad reading though this you’ve been asking for a while and the only response you seem to get is bear with us, we’re working on it, it’s complicated, and so on.
If it’s a problem that can’t be solved then the team should just be honest and say “I’m sorry but certain countries are charged more for complicated business reasons and there’s nothing we can do” or at least give you a time frame of when it could be solved like within then next year or so.
Hey @squizzle, this is something we’re aware of and have been trying to rectify. The inconsistency you experience impacts a tiny amount of people - people purchasing over 6 pouches in Sweden. We have a bigger team than we have done before but it’s still limited and really we want to work on the big tasks the will benefit the most amount of people - bringing up and developing new products, launching new countries and so much more. It’s not that those people purchasing 6 or more bags in Sweden aren’t important, but we’re a business and we have to take a wider look at our goals and prioritise what is going to benefit the majority of customers.
It’s worth noting that even with a fix, Sweden would still be more expensive due to taxes. Although I know you won’t think this genuine but, we are working on this, as part of a wider project, and haven’t been twiddling our thumbs - but we have to prioritise.
Right now though, we do not have a solution with this. Sorry.
Tim,
Does this mean this issue is being resolved with the price increase? It sounds like it to me reading this. If so - thank you everyone for making it as fair as you are able to. I really appreciate it.
Global price structure
Implementing this price change gave us the opportunity to look at our global pricing. Where previously some countries were charged different levels of discounts when adding more bags, we have now tried to make it as fair and equal as possible.
The difference appeared largely because every time we started delivering Huel to a new country, we dealt with that on a case-by-case basis. Now we are working globally with delivery partners who are able to provide us with a more standardised pricing system for warehousing, shipping and delivery of your orders.
So we have been able to address the discrepancy by implementing a discount structure over increasing number of bags that is as smooth as possible between different countries.
This means that when Hueligans in different countries buy any number of bags, the volume discount they will receive will be (roughly) the same globally.
This might be different from the discount structures being applied in some countries previously, but it is a fair deal which many Hueligans around the world have been asking for.
However, please note that baseline pricing in different countries still has to be different in some cases. There is very little we can do about this as a business. Different countries have different costs associated with doing business there (different taxes for our products being first and foremost, but also currency exchange and other costs).
Please rest assured we are not using this as an excuse to make more money in some countries than others. While we were reviewing our pricing we tried to make sure it is as fair as possible by making our margin the same in all countries, which will allow us to continue bringing Huel to everyone, everywhere.
If yes you could change the topic name to [solved] and close it if you deem it necessary.
Squizzle
That’s right. I’ve said to you before this was part of a wider project, this was it. It’s worth noting that there are still price increases for Sweden and there will always be price differences (see below segment), but what we’ve come up with is as fair as we can make it.
