When will huel learn that capitalism doesn’t work
No one works there either.
Yes mixability has improved!
This is a blanket statement that simply does not have enough evidence to support it. We really don’t know the cause of IBS and it’s likely that causes vary between individuals. You can see more here and here.
We’re not trying to do this at all. However, we can’t make 10 different versions just as in the same way we don’t have 10 different versions of Huel Powder with varying ingredients so everyone can try it, but we do our best.
Surely a booster pack or add on would be the solution to this? So people can decide if they want a ‘gut health booster’ and how much to add. And as someone else has just mentioned keeping a version of U/U unchanged would make more sense than the original as i know I’m not the only one with a digestive system also sensitive to sucralose.
An add-on or booster would not allow them to call it an upgrade and hence the changes happening now. They don’t use Maltodextrin but will start to use tapioca ( a carb used to produce it). Kelp could be a good choice, depending on the origin and type of culture/farming and environmental respect. Kombucha, besides the studies presented, is not universally endorsed ( like fluoride that was here pooled on the past) and has some alcohol and caffeine content (don’t known how much if any on powder). So, if a Hueler does not want caffeine, artificial sweeteners, “empty carbs” and a boost on probiotics, he must find an alternative outside Huel. I’m sure most of Huelers will see benefits or don’t have health limitations whose formula changes will impact negatively. U&U as a pure and minimalist product will disappear.
Actually 17, with glutenfree and professional.
Do you mean to imply that “natural” implies “better” somehow? I sense an appeal to nature argument …
I think the the implication is the whole product is better by the use of the word ‘improved’ rather than reading anything else into it. iterative changes are always done to make things better - however that is achieved - or in whatever process or business model.
To many people Huel is an alien, unnatural product that they would never touch. Oftentimes those are the people that need healthy convenience food most. By introducing ingredients that they recognise but functionally do the same as their synthetic counterparts then we think that’s a good thing. We haven’t made Huel worse as a result of the more natural vitamins and minerals, they’re just different.
You know I meant nutritionally!
Thanks for the suggestions Al, it gives us a lot to think about.
Lol I did
But they are different, I haven’t tried half the new ones because it’s too expensive to just try everything, I miss the days of getting vanilla and flavour boosts
I started using a third shaker this week so there’s always loads of Huel in the fridge ready to go. I’ve only got two mixer balls though. I just drank the one with no mixer ball and, ack! How do people live like this?
So the improved mixability of v3 will be interesting.
I’ve never used a mixer ball and i mixes just fine for me.
Maybe my technique is bad. I often make two shakes at once and so I add water, then add powder/flavour to both shakers, then shake them both together. So the powder sits around in one shaker for half a minute while I put powder in the other one. Maybe it gets a crusty bottom during that time?
The wrist action joke is played out, otherwise I would have put it here.
I often make two too…so don’t think that’s the reason. I’ve never had a crusty bottom.
Although I shake one after the other rather than together, but that wouldn’t matter unless your wrist action really is weaker in one arm.
Same here. Standard Huel shaker, no crusty bottoms or lumps. Probably I have good, strong arms
Then my conclusion is that the mixer balls have spoiled me. I’m probably just not shaking hard enough.
But that’s why mixer balls were invented, so I’m going to buy another one. This will backfire during the climate change wars when I have to arm wrestle the local militia’s champion to persuade him to let me join.
After many different shaking techniques I’m happy to report my findings.
Step 1. Fill a shaker about half full of water
Step 2. Shake the bag
Step 3.Scoop the powder and shake the scoop until you have a level scoop
Step 4. Add four scoops (follow step 3 for each scoop)
Step 5. Fasten lid and shake very hard and fast for about ten seconds
Step 6. Enjoy
Shit I’ve been doing that in reverse order.
