You need to get a life mate. Arguing on here on a Saturday night about the cost of Huel because you don’t like or don’t trust the fact they’ve brought out a flavour which ingredients cost more than other flavours so they’ve charged more. Also suggesting that people who buy the product with their own money and have trust in the company and apply common sense to the decisions made are actually Huel employees using fake accounts is really scraping the barrel.
You’re clearly just trolling. This has been gone over more than once. The price has never been “set”. The price was averaged across the flavours because all the flavours cost roughly the same. This flavour didn’t so they’ve increased the price accordingly. If you don’t like that then don’t buy it.
I was at work actually and I wasn’t arguing either I was putting my point across
If you’re saying that about me though then it goes for the man I was chatting with @Phil_C, who appears to be part of your league, so think on in future incase you hurt his feelings
I know you think Huel was created by God himself and bestowed upon us mere mortals, and any words said against it must be punishable by death, but people are allowed to have opposing views
If you can’t handle that, you should perhaps put yourself on a little time out and take a breather, try and relax
I think (correct me if I’m wrong), when the new RTD flavours were announced, there was a mention that they cost more than the OG flavours. I don’t know if the exact price was mentioned and I think just stating that the price is different in the announcement may have help.
You don’t contribute broadly to the forum or discussions. You pipe up when you want to go to town over some issue normally money related and then you just don’t stop. That’s not someone having apposing views, that’s someone who is here purely to be a dick.
The secret’s out! Just have to save up for my subscription. I expect to be inducted with pomp and ceremony in about five years. Will wear a pampas-grass headdress and suspenders.
Whatever price the huel overlords happen to bestow upon the humble powder the disciples will pay and must always ask what more can they do, can they pay more
You’re probably an astroturfer Huel employee trying to use reverse psychology to get people to buy Cinnamon Swirl by posting so much obsessively about a product and its price, rather than, say, not buying it, that people take the reverse position out of horror.
They are indeed. Your view that the price is too expensive is valid and ok. There are other people here with the view that the price is fair and they are happy to buy it, their opinion is ok too.
I think it’s good to make your opinion known here and make your voice heard, but it doesn’t have to be continuous and it doesn’t have to be implied that everyone who thinks differently is wrong or lying.
In the end people will vote with their wallets. It will sell well or it won’t. You’ve made your feelings known that it’s too much.
Personally I’ll see how I feel when it’s time for my next order. It’s hard for me to think about the prices until they’re sitting in my basket.
I’m not in need of new Huel for a month or two but after reading “cinnamon swirl” so many times here lately I couldn’t take it any more and I put in an extra order including the new flavor that is expected to arrive on Wednesday.
We have absolutely heard those of you who think Cinnamon Swirl pricing is too high, as @Herbivore eloquently put
These concerns have been passed on to Julian and I have noted those who have also said that not making the increase in cost made known broadly and will do better next time. We welcome discussion about these topics.
However, this thread has unfortunately turned into arguments far beyond the natural conclusion of the original discussion. i.e. People made good and valid points which were taken seriously, others including staff listened and also replied with their own points of view. But we seem to be going around in circles which has also lead to a number of forum rules being broken (see: Improve the discussion, Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree)
@Rubyrails we have silenced your account for 24 hours, we have heard your points, acknowledged and responded to them, please move on.
I am trying something new. Instead of locking the thread (which I prefer to do with inappropriate or old posts), I have turned on Slow Mode. This will limit each user to only posting once every 30 minutes. I intend for this to limit the knee-jerk contradiction going on here and hopefully make each post more considered and valuable while not censoring a conversation which is clearly important to our community.
None of the huel team have actually given an answer to any of my questions, you guys are the people I want to answer the questions, not other forum members who are using complete guess work and can’t seem to control their emotions
Can you answer this one first
Huel always lists the benefits of each ingredient, added vitamin etc
You say the reason the price has increased by £2 per bag is because real cinnamon is being used.
Why aren’t you listing this in your ingredients and telling us all the benefits of the cinnamon you have added? (Of which there are many) like you do with everything else you add to huel
The description of cinnamon swirl is in line with the other flavours. The only flavour that is described as “real” is coffee and that’s partly because it’s a helpful indicator of the caffeine content.
We also talk about ingredients or components when they provide well supported health benefits at the amounts present in the product. If you don’t mind, we’d rather be the judge of that, as we’re quite good at it.
As Tim has said we are now going round in circles. Your points have been answered, if you feel they haven’t been answered to your satisfaction then move on and enjoy the rest of your week.
