Hi All,
First of all, let me say I’m a big Huel fan.
I’ve been looking at Huel bars and your website states that the macros are 38:32:24:6 (carbohydrate, protein, fat, fibre).
Each bar is stated to contain:
Carbs: 23.7g
Protein: 15g
Fat: 9.2g
Fibre: 7.5g
Calories: 250 kcal
To my knowledge, using 4 calories/ gram for carbs, protein and fibre, and 9 calories/ gram of fat, the macros would be 35:22:31:11 and a total of 267.6 calories.
Is there something I’m missing?
Many Thanks,
Damian

This has come up a few times. These threads may help. There are more, just search for macro.
Right, so, this might just be me making a silly error, but I can’t seem to make the macros on huel add up mathematically…
1g of protein = 4 calories
1g of carbohydrates = 4 calories
1g of fat = 9 calories.
So if we calculated that metric with 100g of vanilla huel…
Carbs 37.1g = 148.4 calories
Protein 29.5g = 118 calories
Fat 13.1g = 117.9 calories
148.4 + 118 + 117.9 = 384.9 calories per 100g of huel… Not 400 calories
So which is it?
Hi can anyone tell me if I’m making a mistake? The kcals (supposedly 2000) don’t match the macros. 186c 66f 148p add up to 1930kcals.
