Just got home from work (1am) and got my delivery Huel Black. I was surprised that I got a new shaker and two scoops. I couldn’t wait until morning to transfer it to an airtight container, so I just did that. I still have the other one and compared the both, Huel Black smells more like chocolate than v2.3 Gluten Free. So now I definitely can’t wait until 12pm (I do Intermittent Fasting 16/8).

I also have the Huel Black Vanilla, has anyone tried that yet?

I don’t dare to because I hated 2.3 vanilla so much :grimacing:
Id be really interested to hear from anyone that tried and hated new vanilla 2.3 and has now tried black vanilla

Yes - I like it - its almost like Original in terms of vanilla flavour/strength but a little sweeter so you need less FB than Original.

I enjoyed the Black vanilla. I found it much less sweet than the v2.3 (not tried the v3.0).

I was very pleased with it although I didn’t mind the v2.3 as I do have a sweet tooth. I think those that found it too sweet could find this much more palatable.

The macros work for me too so all round I’m very pleased with Black edition.

Thanks! Great to hear. I bought the Vanilla because I add Espresso to the shake. I do this mostly with the Original and Coffee v2.3. But I want to change to Huel Black. I never used FB, maybe I’ll try them with the next order.

Thanks for reply. I’m not really a sweet tooth., but of course I have my moments. I like Huel because it’s not too sweet, I had to get use to it at first because I used so many others.

I never ordered Vanila before, because I’m not a Vanilla kind of person. And with v2.3 & v3.0 there many flavours to choose from. I have it now because I like my breakfast shakes with Espresso. Hope that there will be a UU in Huel Black. Thank you for the reply!

Perhaps well timed with my prescription pain relief but Huel V2 and V3 I found both quite soothing! So if there was I wouldn’t complain.

My black edition order arrived this morning and I’ve been very restrained and waited until my usual time of 12pm for my first meal (Huel) of the day.

I tried the black edition chocolate and I’m relieved to discover that the development team at Huel seem to have found someone who actually knows what chocolate tastes like. It’s not a strong chocolate flavour, but it is at least a chocolate flavour unlike white v2.3.

I went with my usual 75g Huel, 200ml unsweetened almond milk and 300ml water mixed up in a blender. It’s very smooth but not quite thick enough so I’ll try reducing the amount of water next time.

Overall I’m pretty pleased with it and I’ll definitely keep the subscription going. I’ll try the vanilla a bit later as I now have 4 bags open (white v2.3 coffee, vanilla and banana, and black chocolate) and I prefer not to have more than 3 open at a time.

I second @ChristinaT’s request for a high protein, high carb, low fat version though as that would be perfect!

Is there any plan to make Black Edition U/U or with no sugar?

I am thinking to change my White sucription to black but the sugar quantity is killing me.

Why is the sugar quantity “killing” you? It’s around a teaspoon per 400kcal.

Because I think after gettin so used to UU, the sugar could make me to not like current Black edition.

So its in the making? Heheheh

Ah got you. The sweetness of Black Edition is different, and I would say more subtle, than v3.0. All about personal preference though.

Hello @Tim_Huel, the “Add another bag for just X” below the orange price in the Black edition page seems broken, some of the prices are not real, like a bag for 21,50€

Checked on the EU Spanish version

I want my Black edition for 21,5€ instead of 27€!! :slight_smile:

Also I just checked the Huel White edition and seems wrong again. I want my Huel White UU for 14,5€ per bag!! :slight_smile:

Hey Adrian, nothing broken I think you’ve just misinterpretted what that section means

What that message is saying is “add another bag for x”, not “from your next bag, the price per bag will be x”

so the €14.50 case you mention:

  • 7 bags of v3.0 on subscription = €171.50
  • adding another bag costs €14.50
  • 8 bags of v3.0 cost €171.50 + €14.50 = €186

Does that make sense? Sorry for confusion.
