New Flavour Boosts are here!

Are you dead @David?
I’m waiting for your verdict
Don’t wait for it to brew, just go taste it

I’ve never tried berry premix, but after all I’ve read was apprehensive about the fb, but it was alright actually. Not that taken with pumpkin spice, but I’ve got another sample pack to recheck my feelings on that. I had chocolate cherry in banana premix and tbh I can’t remember how I found it, so I’ll go with nonchalant.

Hi guys . Started Huel about 6 weeks ago and enjoying it ! Have tried them premix chocolate and mint chocolate as my 2 bag order . Would like to try the different flavours with boost packs.just looking for a bit of advice … am I better with vanilla as premix with boosts or unflavoured ? Liking the sound of gingerbread and choc cherry , and advice would be appreciated. Thanks

My verdict will arrive tomorrow morning. Today I’m going around saying goodbye to all my loved ones.

Here’s the official word:

They’ve reduced the sweetners in these flavours so unflavoured might not be sweet enough.

Personally I’d recommend using Original with the flavour boosts as it has a neutral but sweet taste.
Some of the new flavour boosts don’t work so well in unflavoured unless you add some sweetener of your own to bring out the flavour.
Vanilla has a very strong flavour of its own, which some people feel complements the boosts, but personally I think it overpowers them.
Original plus flavour boosts works really well.
If you find it too sweet, you can mix unflavoured and original together (lots of people do this including me)

The new fb are not very sweet. With UU they will be far less sweet than the premixes you had.

Thank you . I’ll order a few different ones and experiment

Chocolate boost in Vanilla Huel - It’s fine. No reason to choose it over chocolate premix, unless you only want chocolate flavour occasionally.

Berry boost in Original Huel - The following graph shows the popularity of the name “Adolf” in Germany during the early twentieth century.

adolf-1

When we choose a name for something, we should take care to avoid negative connotations. No one names their child “Adolf”. When I see the word “Berry” in the vicinity of the word “Huel”, my mind goes to dark places. It’s a reckless choice, but an intriguing one. Perhaps it’s intended as a dare to the consumer. “Psst, it’s Berry Huel. Are you XTREME* enough?” We know Berry Huel, we fear it, yet this is not Berry Huel as we know it.

It tastes a bit like raspberries. It’s not very nice, and I’ll never buy it. But it doesn’t live up to its name, because I’ve already forgotten it. Adolf Boost is not Adolf. It’s safe to try.

*Generation X marketing is the best.

I’ve just tried the Gingerbread that everyone has been raving about.
Tastes the same as pumpkin spice to me! (?)
So much so I had to go make a mini one of each… and… yeah… pretty much the same.
Maybe the gingerbread has a very slight hint of ginger and less spice? Or maybe my brain is just trying to find a difference that my tastebuds can’t detect.
Anyway - I like it. I like both of them.

So far I’ve tried:
Apple Cinnamon - gorgeous
Pumpkin spice and Gingerbread - both v.nice
Salted Caramel - nah, not for me (surprisingly)
Chocolate - yuk
Chocolate Cherry - I like it a lot, but can’t taste any chocolate. I plan to add cacao next time.

Next on my list is banana I think.

Bonus Sunday flavour test! I made this shake for tomorrow but I just got peckish so I had a little swig.

Mint Chocolate in Vanilla Huel - Mint Choc premix is more like MINT!!! (with the ghost of chocolate). The boost is more balanced, and I prefer it that way. I could happily use a full pack of this stuff.

I’ve been trying out the Gingerbread too.

Found it a bit too sickly sweet in Vanilla Huel, but that’s no surprise as I find Vanilla overly sweet anyway

It’s interesting in Banana, but in Berry Huel it is absolutely delicious  Will probably also give it a go in the coffee premix tomorrow.

Please, consider re-adding the Pineapple & Coconut flavour!
Out of all the samples it was the one I enjoyed the most and I’m kinda sad that I can’t buy the full version now :frowning:

(yes, I registered to this forum just to say this lol this goes to show you how much I cared about this flavour)

Gotta say I loved the Pineapple and Coconut too!

I’m trying to order the new flavours but Gingerbread is grayed out - is it out of stock for now?

My fault, I bought 5000 bags. I’m making Huel bricks to sell to a local witch.

Wow that really was limited edition, if it’s gone already.
Maybe they are currently out of stock.
Or maybe that’s it…?!
I received mine yesterday so just in time!

I got a delivery notification for another replacement packet of Chocolate Cherry this morning - did someone slip on a banana again @Tim_Huel ?

I have a pouch of gingerbread added to my next sub order due for despatch 6th December. Hopefully that will be fulfilled.

I don’t think there were that many fans of it, although it was one of my favourites too.

Today’s taste sensations were not very sensational.

Mocha in Original Huel - A bland, serviceable mocha for unadventurous people.

Peanut Butter in Vanilla Huel - It was utterly overwhelmed by the vanilla flavour. I mean utterly. I wouldn’t have known there was a flavour boost in there if I hadn’t put it there myself. I used the full sachet, and I don’t have any more so I can’t test it in Original or with a larger dose.

I’ll try the remaining flavours in Original only. Vanilla is a total bully.

I liked pineapple and coconut. Great in the summer, made with crushed ice.
I’m sad it’s gone. It was nice for a refreshing change.
I still have half a pouch left tho so I’ll make sure I enjoy it
