I think we’ve well and truly taken this topic about flavour boosts completely off track.
I’m on diazepam temazepam tramadol morphine and codeine. What’s your excuse?
Oh I forgot. You live in glasto. My list would be your Wednesday morning norm.
I don’t actually use any drugs, legal or illegal…apart from caffeine (often) and alcohol (occasionally).
I find that hard to believe looking at the number of wrinkles on your crack white face
I think this face is scarier and more disturbing than the last, despite the lack of large knife
Had a banana FB drink for lunch which i’d also added some of my liquorice surplus to and left in the refrigerator for 5 hours - tasted really good and the very pungent chemically smell of the banana powder had mellowed to a really natural taste. however it seemed to take a LOT more effort to get the smell out of the shaker when cleaning it - much more than the other flavours - curious why that would be.
Banana lingers on everything!
Haven’t you noticed this before?
Don’t store banana flavour next to anything or everything in your kitchen will smell / taste of banana forever !
this is my first batch of FB’s of any flavour ever - used frozen fruits before
I mean banana flavour anything tho.
I’m allergic to banana so am super sensitive to the flavour as it sends off alarm bells in my head,
If something has been stored next to banana or banana flavour it will pick up the taste.
I notice it all the time. An apple from a shared fruit bowl, a chocolate milkshake made in the same blender as a banana one etc
That’s bananas
The new and ‘improved’ Mocha is an abomination. Bluergh!
Seriously - I don’t know what they were thinking off. If the plan is to gradually make all the flavours disgusting, it’s going really well. I’m down to being able to tolerate the new Chocolate and Banana flavours, rather than really liking them as well as Mocha.
Hoping this is like the 1985 New Coke dabacle, where the company quickly rowed back and brought back the old formulation.
Just very, very disappointed.
I tried the chocolate cherry and enjoyed the flavour. I experienced the taste of a liquefied Bakewell tart with extra marzipan. I rather enjoyed it.
Ok please don’t show us your crack @hunzas
It will be Cheeseburger and chips for breakfast, Pizza and buffalo for dinner washed down with a bottle of Budweiser
Interesting reading all of the responses to the new flavour boosts – there is definitely a love/loathe Marmite Effect going on here
If the Marmite Gene Project study is to be believed then we are all genetically predisposed to different taste reactions so one man’s Gingerbread is definitely another’s Berry premix.
I don’t really have a frame of reference as I only started using them after the changeover but so far have enjoyed the ones that I’ve tried (even the Choc Cherry I’m learning to live with). There are always going to be lovers and haters no matter what directions are taken so as a brand owner, that has to be a bit of a thankless task.
This morning I added the gingerbread flavour to my Huel. I rather enjoyed the flavour likening it to liquefied gingerbread man. I then decided to add 3g of toffee to the mix which I feel added an additional enhancement. It’s a shame that toffee is off the menu.
Gingerbread & toffee is also my favourite combination of old and new FBs so far (out of the ~40 combinations I have already tested).
FWIW Vanilla flavour boost tastes like toffee to me, as does Vanilla premix.
How limited are the limited edition flavours going to be? Do they usually stick around for long?
Gingerbread is the nicest flavour. It deserves a permanent spot in the squad. Swap it for that peanut butter one that tastes of nothing.
seconded - I’ve not tried the PB one but i’m fully onboard never having to if Gingerbread becomes a permanent fixture.
Apple Cinnamon is my top favourite but I do like Gingerbread and would be happy to see it stay.
I also think vanilla and toffee taste the same
As do pumpkin spice and gingerbread
I second that.
