The biggest and best Huel launch ever... Huel Hot & Savoury

Lol I feel your pain

Just tried the tomato, made in an uncovered bowl rather than the cup: it’s got a bit of that Huel cardboard-y-ness at the back of it, but it’s at least as good as any of the homemade savoury experiments I’ve tried, and a sight more convenient. Might add some chilli when making it in future, and probably need to dial in the soak time a little bit, to manage texture.

Excellent timing too, getting this out before winter: having something warm for lunch will make a nice change to chilled Huel.

This is also a potentially killer camping food. I remember being in a remote youth hostel once and working out that the nice-looking freeze-dried meals would cost something like £50/day for 2500kcal. Huel’s a quarter of that or less.

Will definitely order more. Price I’d say is around the limit of my comfort zone; to pay any more I’d be after bonus features like some organic ingredients (not to restart that well-trodden debate).

Huel Pot Noodles next? :grinning:

Was thinking that too. Really, really hoping my guts are able to handle it. Have just bit the bullet and ordered x3 bags of tomato & herb :crossed_fingers:

Exactly this, I said the same thing to my wife. We’ll be taking these to Download Festival next year for a warm breakfast (Covid permitting). Those early mornings in June can be chilly.

Would love to see a Huel booth around the various festivals. I’m sure the RTDs and H&S would go down well.

I agree wholeheartedly Tim. Huel is the most customer focused company I have had dealings with.

@Dan_Huel Do we know the Glycemic Index of Huel Hot & Savoury? If not, it will be great to calculate it

Not yet! We’re waiting to test it but COVID has put a big delay on testing.

Received it in Croatia in three days - one for dispatch and two for delivery! Will try it for a dinner with my boyfriend this evening. But after that it’s all mine, I’m not sharing it.

:raised_hands: :camping:

Yessss! Clearly we’ll be marketing this to busy professionals in the office, but I’ll be damned if I don’t manage to slip in some camping vibes in there! I think this is the moment I justify a JetBoil to myself, and a new bivvi bag. I love buying outdoor gear, I’m out of control. I think the smaller pouches will work here well too.

Ooh yes good idea. My Glasto ticket’s been rolled over so that would be awesome, although I would also take Powder, Bars, RTDs for ease too.

Recently I started looking for a camper (mostly fantasizing about it) and whenever I see fully equipped kitchens in those, I think to myself, “Why would I need that? I have Huel” and immediately imagine all the additional space I could have if I remove for e.g. the stove and the fridge! It makes everything so much easier when travelling!

my delivery arrived in Malaysia OK - I guess I made it a little soupy on my first attempt - practice makes perfect

Tastes really great though!

Hey @Phil_C let us know how doest taste both of the H&S

haven’t tried the tomato one yet but Thai curry is very creamy and good amount of spice without it being overpowering. very nice indeed - its wavering between 30°- 40°C here today so, granted, not the best weather to be having spicy curry, but has to be done

Just tried tomato and herb… really good.
Ever so slightly reminiscent of beef and tom pot noodle. Ha. Strangely crunchy tho, but I think I like it like that…maybe I’ll leave it longer than 5 mins and then add more hot water to thin it out again to see if I prefer it softer… will start experimenting… maybe adding a little chilli, or, controversially, a spoon of marmite… but only if i can be arsed, it’s perfectly good out of the bag…
Really good. And perfect for lunch. Well done.
Thai one tomorrow.

absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Tried the TGC. Unfortunately don’t think I can finish it, tastes horrible for me. Really cardboardy and hard to swallow :frowning:

So… Minor issue here. I trusted this and didn’t ask for “free T-shirt+shaker on the first order” as the order isn’t first really. (+there was no “cup” option on the checkout)

@Tim_Huel Didn’t get the cup and a bit gutted. Maybe you need to modify the checkout page to separate T-shirts and cups/shakers (yes, making things more complicated). At least I am talking about France website.
On the other hand, I got “Let’s get started” and referral scheme papers, although I am clearly not a first timer and “Let’s get started” does not talk about H&S.

Still loving Huel years on and you guys rock on both product and support (I’ll send an email there as well). Can’t wait to try savoury (really cool idea), even without a cup.

P.S. It’s funny how I’ve been checking the website and the forum for a while, noticing little new stuff, reminiscing on the days the formulation was adjusted frequently, which gave a sense of adventure. The closer to perfection Huel gets, the slower the changes will be, leading to less excitement I thought…
And BAM! - I get to see H&S thread and order it early. :scream_cat:

I too declined the newbie tee shirt and shaker so will be interested to see if I receive the cup along with my first order of the new H&S. Delivery scheduled for this afternoon so not long to wait :crossed_fingers:

Just tried thai curry, much spicier than what I expected! Also made it too wattery, so will use less water next time.
