Hi All, I’m joining the party too… currently 228 pounds. Aim to hit the sub 200 pound mark by the end of 2021 … that’s in 6 months time at a rate of around a pound a week. Should be achievable with a bit of self discipline and motivation from posts on this thread …

Great to see you progress @TheBigCheese2344, keep it up. Not long to go now until that magic weight. What have you learned along the way? Hopefully you’ve picked up some good habits you will stick to once you reach your goal :raised_hands:

Welcome to the team @dillydilly!

This sounds like a good target, you’ve got a great bunch of Hueligans here who will understand what you’re going through. What sort of Huel are you going to be having?

we’ve got vanilla & mint chocolate (borrowing from my daughter) but may order some black version soon.

Defo got habits long term. Plan on Huel brekkie forever. Regular workouts especially when weather allows. Maybe Huel H&S at work forever, or at least here and there. Plenty of protein and tricks like rice cakes etc.

In the last month I have lost 3 pounds; less than my pound a week target. I also started going to the gym and this pushed my weight up by a couple of pounds until last week when I started to lose weight. Hopefully this will continue in a downward trajectory. I have also signed up to the Hampton Court half marathon and the training which goes with it should push me off the plateau around 225 lbs…

Well done on that continual weight loss, that is great news! A few things that will be happening here:

Your current calorie intake you’ve worked out will be based on your previous, heavier weight. So you need you occasionally reassess your needs on a calorie counting app. This is normal!

Getting stronger means you’re going to be gaining muscle! That’s a great thing! Muscle tissue is more metabolically active than fat and burns more calories. So gaining muscle is a great thing, don’t worry about this!

Good luck with half marathon training, that will be really rewarding.
