If anyone wants £20 off a £60 shop at Ocado I can send a referal code.
They can be expensive for some things but the offers are good. As are the frozen cherries
Oh and the Picard frozen mango slices - they are divine
@Africorn Not stoned, pitted
I got some from Asda. I have to be careful with cherries though, they are high fodmap (fructose).
I get mine from Tesco. They frequently have 3 for 2 offers on bags of frozen fruit so I usually stock up the freezer with frozen sweet pitted cherries and bags of frozen blueberries.
I use an 80g serving each time so each bag is 5 or 6 servings.
I live in Glastonbury…all the cherries are stoned; oh sorry I thought you said hippies…I was too stoned to read. Happy 420 day for last week.
And thank you everyone else for suggestions. I’d probably prefer sour to sweet cherries. It sounds like a good thing to do with cacao in any event.
Just bought Chocolate PB2. Excited to give it a try for lunch.
Sounds delicious, Reese’s huel. Are you using the chocolate flavor huel with the PB2?
No. Just Vanilla Huel + Chocolate PB2. I don’t think I’ll be buying chocolate Huel anytime soon.
I didn’t even know chocolate PB2 was a thing. Make sure to post if it’s any good and how much you had to add.
I made up my breakfast Huel with 4 scoops of UU and 500ml of coconut milk and cacao nibs. Usually I have coconut milk with a banana in the mix. I might try the triple combination tomorrow.
Vodka or powdered opium is good. Just kidding — cacao, cinnamon, or maca.
Ive always liked the idea of alcoholic huel, although can’t bring myself to try it.
@Blobbymatt it works!
Rum goes well in the mint choc or any of the cacao based ones.
And rum in the pineapple coconut makes a pretty awesome pina colada.
Whizz in a blender with ice for best results
Apparently it also works with Baileys but I’ve not tried that
hmmmm, i might have to try gin at the weekend. I’m thinking gin and lemon juice with vanilla huel. or even whiskey and coffee huel.
but good to know that rum is a solid backup
I’d rather have a nice cocktail and a Huel in stead of a combo. Can’t seem to see the added value 🤷
I bought the peanut butter and chocolate powder from Amazon (it was a plus product). Like the peanut taste, but didn’t really taste any chocolate. I am a bit worried however about the extra calories, almost 100kcal for 24g! Half a bag is enough for 1.5-2 scoops, but still, it adds 50 kcal for a peanut taste (don’t know if it adds valuable nutrients like normal peanut butter).
Lol think it’s novelty value really
I too would prefer to have my huel then a real cocktail. Although saying that, if you’re counting calories (I’m not, but if I was) then: Huel plus ice plus pineapple coconut flavour boost plus rum = nice long icy pina colada for 400 calories plus however many calories is in a shot of rum.
But if you have your normal huel followed by a regular pina colada (pineapple juice, sugar, rum, lime, coconut milk, cream etc) = a LOT of calories
I’ve found that over the summer an icy chocolate HueI made with oat milk and crushed ice, drank in a pint glass with a (silicone) straw is as nice as an ice cream milk shake but with the added advantage that’s it’s a meal rather than a snack on top of a meal !
Unsweetened almond milk and banana
I mix Vanilla Unsweetened Almond milk, 1 Scoop Huel, 1 cup plain FAGE yogurt, Cinnamon, Honey to taste. It tastes like a desert but careful on the honey as the calories add up fast.
It is a desert! (I really do not like the Vanilla Huel taste so I usually aim to completely mask the Huel taste)
I also have been doing Vanilla Unsweetened Almond milk, 1 scoop huel, 1 cup plain FAGE Yogurt, Peanut Butter, Cocoa powder (very little) - the peanut butter overpowers but increases the calories by a LOT.
I incorporate yogurt since it ensures healthy gut and in theory should reduce gut issues associated with taking Huel; Cinnamon compliments the oat-y flavor of Huel while offering contrast to the tang from the yogurt and draw out the sweetness from the honey while also making it more satiating. Honey adds sweetness to cut back on the tang from the yogurt and round out the flavor; honey also offers additional nutrients including antioxidants.
Peanuts are a great source of protein and essential fatty acids. Sounds good to me
