Time to put my Central heating off I think before I get a huge bill
and slow. ![]()
I just clicked the heart again mate just so you know.
Yeah, I hate people that do that.
It’s not that off topic, the thread (among other things) is about the price of huel and is it too much of an increase
You say you’re from Northern Europe may I ask where? And if you’ve ever been to Britain? That statistic you quoted doesn’t take into account the cost of living in the uk. The average minimum wage uk worker lives in poverty.
Edit: I don’t deny I live in an incredibly rich country but the vast majority of citizens don’t see that wealth and to those on the bottom they might as well live in the Soviet Union or the third world
Regardless of how wealthy the UK is perceived to be the reality is that a lot of people are living in poverty. Here is a random new article.
I agree that there are many other countries with worse situations: Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Albania, Moldova, but none of that matters to the person actually suffering.
I am not sure how Brexit will affect our economy but things like motor trade and other manufacturing could be in for a rough ride.
Again, that’s exactly why we sent an email detailing the price increase and the formula change to all Powder subscribers (excluding Original subscribers) 2 weeks prior to launch (and a follow up email to anyone that didn’t open the first email a week or so later.) As well as this forum post.
The launch email was therefore a marketing email hence why it was sent to only people that accepted marketing. I really don’t want to get into more detail on Huel’s CRM strategy
Hey Sarah, we can now confirm there is no caffeine in either the mint choc or vanilla v3.0 Powders.
19% here… I simulated based on an order with 3 bags… was € 82,50 and now € 98,34. That’s 19%!!!
€2 a meal was already steppy. I don’t think i will order it anymore.
Is there a way to continue order the v2.3 with the old price? I’m not comfortable on paying extra 19% for a new formula. As a customer we should have the option to choose the product we want to purchase, specially when there’s significant price change involved (it’s 19% surcharge and not free).
@victors what country are you in?
Netherlands or Portugal

I’d also like to be able to shop in the discount store that I have seen mentioned so many times already, but alas, as a EU shopper I didn’t see this yet.
Thank you soooo much for getting back to me. Delighted that I can keep having Huel, and curious to taste the new recipe!
Price for 3 bags

I have an identical price of 98.34€ for 3 bags as a single purchase. Everyone in the EU got that 19% price increase if we leave subscriptions out.
In the UK store it is 71.67£/83.34€.
So if we’re talking about the UK/EU price difference (one time order) then with v2.3 it was ~13%, now it is ~15.5%, depending on the exchange rates.
With a 19% increase for one time purchases, Huel practically eliminated itself from the competition as other EU companies offer high quality products at a much lower price.
I’m used to Huel so I will continue ordering it to some extent (with this price it can’t be my only 'lent), but potential new EU customers will most likely just skip trying Huel as they will want to do an one time order…
I just checked the price for me (Belgium) and compared it to Jimmy Joy. I must say I am quite sad. Huel is almost twice as expensive
I never checked to be honest, but now I am doubting… With a house and a kid and…, I don’t want to change but double price is quite a lot. Or am I missing something here?
Yeah, I did the math and that’s what made me think that Huel will have a very hard time getting new customers in the EU. For UK customers the price differences with competitors aren’t that bad and it’s a British company so only focusing on growing their customer base in the UK might be Huel’s goal.
In the UK though I find the price of other european soylents expensive, swings and roundabouts (are cheaper).

Woah there!
Been a while.

So I just checked here in strike-riddled France and 3 bags (subscription) has jumped from 74 euros and change to 88 euros and change.
That’s, like, INSANE! Unless… Isn’t the new Huel technically more meals for the same amount of powder? Or have I got that wrong.
