It actually tastes surprisingly good. More cherry than raspberry to me but that’s fine, and it wasn’t actually overpoweringly sweet (or artificially sweet) as I was expecting. Definitely not like red bull or things like it.

yeah - I’d agree with this - really liked the fact it was punchier rather than sweeter.

I tried it today. It’s nice, though it does taste like a ‘vitamin drink’, more so than other big name “energy drinks” with a few select vitamins taste like that. I don’t think it’s bad, I quite like it. It tastes a bit like the inside of an AZ Vitamin bottle smells. I think it’s pleasant. Along with the berry / sweetness which is very nice. I think I’ll have one every so often but just as some of the ‘big name’ nasty energy drinks it’d be too sweet everyday for me.

Yes, that’s correct! It wouldn’t cause any harm, they just wouldn’t be absorbed if you had already met them at the daily requirement

It reminds me of the smell of inside of those Boots AZ multivitamins. I’m struggling to think of a food or flavour description.

I ordered a can for my girlfriend, she loved it. She’s usually a buyer of Monster / Red Bull and this - in terms of preference and taste and desirability - is better. I’m going to order a crate and one for her in my next Huel order! I think we’re on to a winner. She wasn’t a fan of RTD / Powder due to the texture of it so for her, this product makes sense. For me, it’s a way of replacing Coke with something not as bad for health.

Hmm.
I think think that’s not necessarily correct that they would not be absorbed? Fat soluble vitamins can accumulate and they are many pathways depending on the chemical. Please check with nutritionist.
Honestly getting sufficient vitamins is incredibly cheap and easy.
A balanced diet (including or not including Huel) will usually provide all the vitamins you require. If unsure, poor diet etc a very cheap multivitamin will provide all you need.
There is sone evidence that extra supplementation with sone vitamins may be beneficial (eg vit d) but overdosing can also definitely be harmful.
I haven’t looked at the % of RDI on the Huel product but I’m guessing it’s quite low so there is a large margin of safety. Which kind of makes the product pointless.
Can’t help feeling this is a pretty token way to try and add nutritional value to a soft drink.

Each can of Huel Daily A-Z Vitamins contains:

• 113% of the RI for vitamin A which helps maintain healthy skin[9, 10]
• 400% of the RI for vitamins D2 + D3 which support immunity[11]
• 125% of the RI for vitamin E which helps protect the body’s cells from oxidative stress[12-13]
• 160% of the RI for vitamin K, both K1 and K2, which supports good bone health[14]
• The B-vitamins thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6), biotin (B7), folate (B9) and cobalamin (B12) which amongst several functions help to reduce fatigue and contribute to the regulation of hormonal activity[15-17]
• Choline (B4) which is a conditionally essential vitamin, and although, strictly speaking, can be synthesised in our bodies, is more efficiently obtained from our diets[18]. It’s of particular importance for postmenopausal women[19, 20]. As Huel is all about optimum health, the inclusion of choline was felt to be fundamental and each can contains 55mg.

Got my first crate today. Also had a ripped box. No big deal, cans appear fine. But I read it above. Must be a common issue

Hey @Charlotte_Huel just a heads up: got my next batch of Daily A-Z and unfortunately it does seem there’s a packaging issue with these, as the boxes seem too thin and weak. 1 crate box was majorly split at the top and side with 1 can sticking out, while the other crate box had a minor tear. Photos below of the major one.
(Unrelated but DPD also placed my second main Huel box containing my powder bags on the floor without telling me the bottom was completely open, meaning all the powder bags inside spilled out when I picked it up )

I DM’d Huel’s IG page 2 weeks ago about the A-Z packaging info with batch data and a photo as you advised, and commented on an IG post after no response asking to check DMs, but still haven’t received any response.

Also, it would be great if Huel offered a fast communication method that wasn’t Meta-owned now that the website chat is no longer live, such as iMessage Business Chat which would be perfect. Noticed staff said we get faster responses on WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, but I personally use neither due to their Meta ownership and the Huelio bot/email method can be quite lengthy. Thank you.

Hi all. I’d like to ask about the choice to package this product in cans. This decision seems somewhat incongruent with my perception of Huel as an environmentally conscious company, given your efforts so far to minimize packaging waste.

Can I propose an alternative idea? Bolero Drinks company, for instance, offers an energy drink in the form of a powder sachet.
(They offer all kinds of Vitamin C, zero-calorie beverages in the form of powder, here https://bolerodrinks.com.hr/)

Perhaps Huel could come up with a similar approach - suggesting powder form, not necessarily sachets.

I can’t speak for Huel but I suspect this product is one they are hoping to sit alongside RTD in supermarkets and other outlets/vending machines so it’s grab and go.
