Daily Greens has landed in the UK šŸ’š

HUEL Daily Green should be banned and they should recall any existing orders and refund the customers. I think customers also need an apology from them and a public statement.

I violently vomited for 14+ hours after taking Daily Greens. It was extremely painful and I have not vomited for over 10 years and never felt this sick before.

This is not a mild side affect. I mean I must have done over 20 vomiting’s and was so dehydrated. I was looking to call an ambulance as it was so bad at one stage.

I am using Black edition for over 3 years and never had any issues too but there is something seriously wrong with this product. I WOULD SUGGEST PEOPLE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT. If you google, you will find hundreds of stories like me.

I ordered 5 packs and am returning 4 unopened today. It’s a dangerous product and I am surprised they haven’t stopped selling it yet.

I’ve just googled and found no other cases. There are a few cases of nausea, but none matching your case, perhaps you could have a bug?

Before I wrote this, I Googled it too and found multiple stories. Search for ā€˜huel daily greens food poisoning vomit’.

See below some of the stories I have copied and pasted.

ā€œSame. On my 3rd time of drinking it, I had the same experience. I wasn’t sick and wasn’t something I ate. I haven’t vomited in 10+ years. My stomach felt off within 30 mins of drinking it.ā€

ā€œstrangely I don’t hate the taste and whatnot, and I drank it daily for several days without feeling bad at all. now I’ve been vomiting after every dose (usually followed by food too). RIP.ā€

ā€œYep, this is consistent with my experience. First ~2 weeks no issues. Took a few days off for Christmas trip, resumed taking it when I got back home, boom nausea for 5 days, stopped taking it along with most other food just to rule things out and give my stomach a chance to recover. Yesterday I took it for the first time in about a week and BAM, crippling nausea, vomiting about 20 times in 4 hours, dripping in cold sweats, diarrhea.ā€

Trust me I probably have the strongest gut in my family and never had anything like this in my 44 years life. This thing is scary. What’s really concerning about the Huel Greens that you don’t see this issue in the first few days but all of a sudden, it makes you really sick. My wife nearly called an ambulance as I was so dehydrated. I was working from home and didn’t eat any outside food that day.

When I had my first Vomit 3-4 hours after taking it, I thought it would have flushed out any bugs but what I didn’t know that I would be violently vomiting for another 12 hours.

As I said, I have been using their Black Edition for over 3 years and never had any issues. I have also tried their protein and have been fine. But there is something seriously wrong with their Greens.

I can only warn people by sharing my experience and would let everyone decide for themselves (but I guess most people won’t believe it or learn it hard way when they experience it themselves first hand).

I Googled the exact words you asked me to and could find nothing relevant apart from something about green teas and caffeine and sensitivity to caffeine.

Are you using AI Google?

I mean there was one thread on Reddit but nowt else

So on each of the three other ā€œallegedā€ poisonings you pasted above, they all say that they had used the product for a minimum of three portions before vomiting, so surely there could be another (coincidental) reason behind the sickness. There must be many thousands of people that are using the product and not been sick, so you can’t really say that it is definitely the product causing these issues.

Sound more like a norovirus type bug.

Maybe they are having 3 portions a day? Yikes

I just googled Brussels sprouts made me vomit
French fries made me vomit
Chicken made me vomit
Water made me vomit

They are all guilty of making people vomit.

Vomit makes me vomit.

Sorry you’ve been so sick, Farzad. But you are the first person here to have an issue, and you have no way of knowing if Huel caused it.

What’s the source of those quotes you posted? Don’t just say Google; several of us have tried searching and found nothing.

I called in sick for work today. My boss said how sick are you? And I said I’m in bed with my sister

I remember someone on the telly telling that joke, many years ago, but I can’t remember who. Australian accent I think. Not Rolf.

I once put on a gig on Glastonbury with Brendon Burns headlining it. That’s his sort of material…long story short the police got called and arrested someone before he had even started… that’s the sort of trouble he caused

Anyway, I found the source of Farzad’s quotes.

Yeah. As I said above there was one thread on Reddit but that was it.

I asked about this on here. Apparently nope, all fine. Whilst one or multiple Huel’s are multiples of your daily recommended minimum intake of lots of vitamins, apparently they are WELL below ā€˜lethal dosages’ of any of them.

I think some H&S can get a tad salty if consumed a lot.

Yeah just Reddit. But that’s the exact source of the quotes, and Farzad made an identical post in the replies there (three times in the same thread, which is kinda sus).

Yeah. Very sus indeed

Ok so I also experienced severe vomiting the last day, about an hour after consuming daily greens.

Having read this forum a few prefaces:

  1. Of course I can’t ā€˜prove’ categorically that it was the fault of daily greens or know with certainty that it caused me to feel unwell

  2. I’ve used it the last two weeks on and off. Sometimes on consecutive days and sometimes on alternate days depending on my needs. I didn’t feel unwell on those occasions. I think a food allergy is unlikely.

  3. I hadn’t consumed any other supplements or consumed other Huel products

In my case I’d eaten some cereal around the same time with oat milk and had some toast. I then went on a video call for about an hour and suddenly had a wave of nausea come over me. It felt weird as I haven’t felt like that or vomited in over 8 years. I’m in good health, I’m young and of reasonable fitness level. I have no known food allergies.

The symptoms first occurred about an hour after taking daily greens. Within ten minutes of the onset of nausea, I knew I was going to be sick. It was just inevitable. When I chucked it was bright green which is perhaps unsurprising.

I absolutely can’t rule out that it was something else that caused it. But having done some lurking in other forums and Reddit, it does seem like there are several similar experiences. It could be purely coincidental 100%. Perhaps it was something else that I ate. I’m not sure I would risk taking it again just in case. There are other reported cases where repeated use has yielded the same result. I’m not going to test that theory.

So again, this post isn’t intended to be accusatory or to state that the product is faulty. But it would be remiss not to share my experience. Just incase.

I’ve been using huel black for years, instant meals and bars too. I’ll continue to use those but I’m going to give this one a miss as I having caring responsibilities and can’t take the risk of being unwell. I hope that Huel do at the very least note the feedback. Even if there is a 0.1% chance of an issue, food safety is extremely serious business and shouldn’t be dismissed or swept aside as ā€˜somebody just googling symptoms’.
