After Eights are good - I guess I was expecting Matchmakers
No - then everyone would complain it tasted like mint sauce or toothpaste
The old one was like mint choc ice cream and was truly awesome. I’ve not tried the new one yet.
Not wanting to waste the few remaining sachets of flavour boost samples, I was kind of dreading reusing the strawberry this morning, but I made a double batch in the blender and put one strawberry and one banana in – made such a difference! Totally killed the artificial element of the flavour of the strawberry and was OK – not amazing or anything, but pretty natural tasting.
Please make a Pear-Vanilla Summer flavour-boost. It would be yummy!
@Dan_Huel Does the new Mocha flavor contain caffeine? If so, how much?
Thanks!
yes there is
That’s from the old Mocha Flavour Boost. Is this still correct after the new Flavour Boosts were released?
I would assume so given the trend towards using natural flavourings and ingredients.
Yea, I just wanted to be sure… I like the Coffee flavor, but I want to avoid having a lot of caffeine, 1.6mg/400KCal sounds reasonable, but if it’s close to the 88mg/400KCal that Coffee Preblended Huel has, it will be too much for me.
As the new Flavour Boosts have less sweetener than the old ones, I’m afraid the Coffee one can contain more “real” coffee (and therefore more Caffeine) than the old Flavour Boosts.
I’m double-checking the numbers Ivan so just letting you know we are looking into it.
Have you tried it In chocolate flavour? I want to buy up the flavour boost but there is so many bad reviews of it…
I’ve not tried the new chocolate Huel powder. But the peanut butter boost has quite a subtle flavour so it’s unlikely to override the strong chocolate (or vanilla) I think this is why people say it tastes of nothing.
Personally I hate vanilla flavour so I use unflavoured (or old Original flavour which I stockpiled!) and then add flavour boosts. I do tend to add about double the amount of boost than the recommended. Or I just keep adding it a gram at a time until I get the strength of flavour I like.
Why not try it? No one has said it’s horrible, people just complain it’s not strong enough… I’d say it’s worth a go at least
I thought it was really nice
I found it to be like PB2 - you have to use quite a lot to get a strong taste. If I’m making two drinks at the same time - I’ll use a tablespoon in the mix which seems to be about right. The chocolate FB tastes like what it is - sweetened cocoa powder.
I find the Peanut Butter FB to taste like buttery popcorn. No clue why though. Guess it’s just not for me
Thanks @Dan_Huel
Any updates on that?
Yeap there’s roughly 0.12mg per 3g serving of the mocha flavour boost, so if were to do a lab test for caffeine it would come back undetected it’s that low.
Oh yes!! Just placed an order of samples to try out, and other things. Keep Hueling!
Hi I’ve got my 1st sample pack of flavour boosts to try. Can anyone tell me what the calorie count would roughly be. MFP gives quite a few results but they vary and not sure what’s correct.
I’ve tried the pumpkin boost in vanilla v3 and it was quite nice. Having chocolate in today’s. I usually use a spoon of cacao powder so will have to see if I notice any difference.
I wouldn’t bother to count them, because the quantities are so small. If you really want to, just add 10 calories to a shake.
The product page has the nutritional values per 100g for each flavour, so you could calculate it exactly if you measure how much you add.
