A quick fix would be for the order counter to go from 1 to 6 as it does, and then jump to 12, or even 18. Just to allow for bigger orders and fewer deliveries, but without the multiple smaller boxes which seem to be the issue.
No, as mentioned above the additional cost comes from a single order going above 15kg, I know it seems odd but that’s the world of logistics. I think this conversation is exhausted so no more box talk!
I can see where you’re coming from, we thought that because there wasn’t a gluten-free version like with v3.0 Powder that this would make things clear, it looks like we’re caused more confusion instead so we’ve removed it. Thanks for the feedback!
Hopefully you’re not going to go hungry for a while, unless you’re doing a Huel eating challenge
Yeap you’ve got it.
I like this. I wasn’t convinced over Acerola, Kombucha or probiotics so their removal is great in my eyes, even more so being cheaper.
I think you need to do more to flag the meal quantity difference though, wasn’t immediately apparent to me when I was comparing both huels side by side on screen.
Do you mean the number of meals you get from every package?
Because a meal is still 100g of powder.
@Dan_Huel just got my delivery and like the new Essentials packaging a lot - I did notice thought that its fairly translucent - how are its barrier properties in comparison with the MLP bags?
What kind of joke is this?
The price is the same, just 0,02€ per meal cheaper, I would be saving 1€/month wow
Seriously, this product isn’t something cheaper for us, is just cheaper for you to produce.
Do you normally order £350 worth of huel in one go? You knew what you were doing when posting this. Standard and Black Huel have bulk discounts but the Essential does not, it is designed for people on smaller budgets who order just a few bags at a time and therefore were never benefitting from the bulk discounts in the first place thus making it vastly cheaper.
I got a little confused by this too when comparing how many bags.
Looking at the cost per meal resolved that
I do.
Although when comparing on the UK site, it’s still cheaper to buy essentials even if you buy bulk
Sorry I was replying to the post above me not you
As Alex pointed out - as a small purchase for people on a budget, it is a third cheaper than v3 - even on the EU store. Thats what it is designed for.
Why not?
It lasts a year and I save a lot of money buying that amount, same saving as Essential.
16 bags are 272 meals, less than 1 huel per day in a year.
Do you eat less Huel than that? Just find a friend who also eats Huel and pay 50% each one, so you take 8 bags that lasts a year for the same price than Essential.
Less nutritious for the same price? No thanks, that’s why i’m disappointed with Essential.
because a lot of people don’t have disposable cash like that to make those kind of purchases - this product is definitely a boon for people in that situation.
Hey, I know what’s going on.
In UK there is a reasonable difference, 0.26£ between Essential and normal version, but in Spain there is only a 0,02€ difference, 13 times less saving…
Is this an error?
its not an error - its designed for small purchases - there is no bulk discount on Essentials - if you buy 2 bags of essentials they are a third cheaper than two bags of v3.
If you look at the pictures Phil, you’ll see that the UK saves 26p buying essentials over a bulk buy of Huel White.
On the Spanish site the only save 2c suggesting either the white is priced to cheap or the essentials is too high in comparison.
I’ll wait for somebody @teamhuel to comment
You’re still comparing 6 bags vs 16…
If you compare roughly the same amount of meals:
To sum up:
In the UK:
Any amount of Essential bags = 1£/meal
16 bags of normal Huel = 1.26£/meal
You save 20% choosing Essential
In Spain:
Any amount of Essential bags = 1,29€/meal
16 bags of normal Huel = 1,31€/meal
You save 1,5% choosing Essential
Sure, but to save so little you have to order 16 bags.
